Smita Bansal, better known as Sumitra from Balika Vadhu has been away from the show for quite some months now and we were left wondering where she disappeared. In the show it was shown that she's going to US to take care of Badi Maasi but in actual life she was on a maternity leave! 

Yes, the most lovable saas on-screen herself became a mother as she gave birth to a baby girl this last week. Smita has an eight-year old daughter Stasha who we know is very excited to now have a baby sister. Sweet! Her husband Ankush and her in-laws and mother are all with her to celebrate this moment of joy.

When we contacted her to congratulate for this new addition, Smita gladly accepted all the wishes and informed us that she and the baby are in perfect health. 

Well, we hope they may have more such happiness in life!
