Normally, if you called someone ‘Badtameez’, their reaction would be less than happy. But if you’re a contestant on Jhalak, and the one calling you ‘Badtameez’ is Karan Johar, then that’s the reason to rejoice! That is because Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa jury has a new lingo in this Season.

Last year, the contestants toiled and struggled to hear the highest praise from the three judges. When Karan called it a ‘Blockbuster’ performance, or Madhuri purred ‘perfect’ after an act and Remo got to his feet and said ‘This is IT!, the contestants went wild with joy and relief. But this year, the contestants will be dying to hear something else from the judges.

Karan Johar, high on the success of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, has moved on from ‘Blockbuster to ‘Badtameez’. So don’t be surprised if you see Karan calling a contestant ‘Badtameez’, as it’s just his was of giving the best compliment he can find. In the second week, Lauren, Shaan and Sonali- Sumanth have managed to be called ‘Badtameez’ by Karan, and we’re sure they’ll cherish it for the days to come.

Talking about Madhuri, her ‘Purrrfect’ is a thing of the past. In this season, if she likes a performance, she’s more likely to say ‘Maar Daala’, complete with all the adaa that we saw in Devdas. Now who wouldn’t like that compliment from Madhuri?

With Karan and Madhuri revamping their catch phrases, how can Remo D’Souza be far behind? The master choreographer used to say ‘This is it!’ to those who managed to impress him. But after becoming an ace director, Remo has tweaked his lingo a bit, and his new line is ‘This is Superhit!’

So the judges have reinvented themselves in this Season, but one thing that hasn’t changed is that the contestants will have to work just as hard (or harder) to impress the jury. Let’s see which celebrity contestant can notch up the most of these newly minted praises!
