Tell us about the current track?
Sonia tries to run but once again she is trapped by the driver and now Khushi is wearing the mask of Sonia. Every now and then Khushi gets in trouble but she somehow manages to get rid of it. The entire Bhardwaj family has no clue about what’s going on.
Technically it’s you who is playing Khushi in the mask of Sonia, tell us about this variety of shades that you are portraying these days?
Yes, it is very thrilling to play many shades as one character. Sonia is sophisticated and well-educated but Khushi is raw and illiterate. Sonia is a genuine person and Khushi is cunning; it is a contrast between the two, so accordingly the expressions change. Also, Khushi as Sonia behaves differently with family members and differently when she is alone. There are various flavors and I’m happy about doing that. In TV, when a show is going on, an actor has to behave in a very typical manner and controlled manner. You do similar things everyday and that becomes boring. But my track is going through various shades and I’m enjoying every bit of it.

When you are not shooting, what do you do?
I’m shooting almost every day but after pack up I try and go to the gym. Apart from that I love shopping so whenever I get free time I go and shop.
Do you have any dream role?
There is no dream role as such but you can say I have a role model. I want to work like Smita Patil. She did lots of art and commercial films. As an actor, you want creativity that comes from art films and popularity that comes from commercial films.  So I want to do both.
If not an actor, what would you be?
I can’t think of anything else. When I was in senior KG, I told my mother that I wanted to be a heroine. I worked as a radio jockey with 92.7 Big FM when I was 17 year old but I missed being on camera. And then I knew I wanted to be an actor.
Your future plans?
I intend to do lots of challenging work. I would love to do films as well.
