With his stubble face and rugged looks, actor Avinesh Rekhi has already made a mark for himself in the television industry. Last seen in the social thriller, Chhal – Sheh aur Maat, Avinesh will now be seen in a negative avatar on COLORS show Madhubala- Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon. He will be portraying the role of a gangster Sultan; a man who will be instrumental in giving another twist to the complicated love story of RK and Madhu.

The actor, who has previously played the role of a bad guy, admits he is quite comfortable in portraying negative shades. He said, “I have no inhibitions playing a negative role in fact I revel in it. With such roles, you have the liberty to experiment and showcase a different side of an actor.”

Avinesh also takes his inspiration from Bollywood stars who are well known to experiment with their roles. “Actors like Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt have been famous for their negative roles. Now a days, it’s good to be bad and actors rarely shy away from showcasing their negative side.”, says the actor.

Avinesh’s entry is expected to bring about a sudden, nail- biting twist to an already interesting show. Will his entry bring about more troubled times in RK and Madhu’s life or will it bring the estranged couple together? Only time will tell!
