What do you do when google fails to provide you with the right answers to questions about life?

The answers lie deep within the core of the most ancient religion in the world- Hinduism.

When God created humans, he created a set of principles too. Principles to guide us, principles to help us in times of our gravest needs. With the progression of time and the modernization of society, these principles were somewhere lost and forgotten. Hence, we didn’t know where to turn to for guidance.

Colors channel brings to you Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, a show which brings forward that forgotten knowledge. The guidance key to all unanswered questions. Based on the book, Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran not only bears the answers to mortal questions related to destiny and karma but also mythology. Why did Radha and Krishna never get married? What happened to the severed head of Ganesha?

The conception of the epic; Shrimad Bhagwat comes from Krishna himself. Ved Vyas – the wisest saint of them all, gave up on humanity after seeing evil around him. Injustice, violence and intolerance were breeding through the society. Feeling helpless, he wanted to end his life. As he was about to do so, Lord Krishna appeared in front of him. Krishna suggested to Vyas that since he was such a learned man, and had seen the miseries of life, he should write a book, to reinstate love within humanity. Vyas agreed, and wrote a book to guide humans through this journey called life. He wrote the Shrimad Bhagwat. Krishna and Radha were so overwhelmed by the book that they decided to be a part of it. They decided that this book would be their avatar. The Shrimaf Bhagwat Mahapuran is an embodiment of Krishna, and Radha.

Each episode begins with Radha asking Krishna a question, and Krishna answering that question, providing her the absolute truth. He quotes from not only the Bhagavat, but also other holy scriptures of Hinduism. This show is created by Shri Pradeep Kumar Dhoot, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, directed by Shri Kamal Monga and written by Shri Vikas Kapoor.
