Vasant

Jagdish's Chacha and the elder son of Kalyani Dev, Vasant is a male chauvanist, but has high respect for his own mother. His first wife Jamuna dies while giving birth to his child. Kalyani Devi's stubbornness to have a grandchild even after knowing that it was dangerous for the mother. But, Vasant always stands by his mother and can't see any one going against her decision. After Jamuna's death he wanted to get marry again but to an untouched girl.
