SMS Group

SMS group started learning sand animation in 2009 through the Internet. After that they participated in Best of Orissa season-2 (OTV)and won the first prize in 2011-12. They also participated in State and National level shows. They have opened their own EXPO ART ACADEMY in 1995 where students learn Fine Art painting only. After they won the competition, they started sand animation classes at their Academy. Santosh Sethi also takes training in that academy and later joined as a Fine Arts Teacher. In this academy he learnt water painting, Pencil painting and sketch painting. There are about 100 students in this academy and they charge Rs.50/- per student. But they do not take fees from lower class, handicapped and Poor kids. Santosh Ghaturay and Mittu learned Fine Arts from Suchitra Art Academy when they were in the 7 and 8th stantdard. They have participated in local shows like Ultratech Annual Function in 2012. They participated in IGT because they wish to spread awareness about sand animation. They have been friends for over 20 years.
