Raagini Makkar and Naadyog

Raagini Makkar is a housewife and a kathak dance teacher and has her family institute called ‘NAADYOG’ which is 25 years old and has 360 students. Some students are adopted by her and she takes care of them be it financially or personally. There are two girls who stay with her, in her house whom she has adopted. Her students are both from poor as well as from well settled backgrounds. Raagini and her husband both teach Kathak and tabla in Delhi College since the past 13 years. And now they earn around 90,000 per month. She herself is also performing and choreographing the dance. She and her troupe have taken part in many national and international shows in Dubai, Canada also but have not been on TV . IGT was her 1st act on TV. She came on IGT because she thought she and her group of kathak dancers were the only group in classical dance.
