Ki Umjer Group

This group is from Shillong. The meaning of Ki-Umjer is dew drops. Ki-ujmer will be doing Acapella singing where they don’t use any music system. They started doing Acapella in 2009 when they heard that singing can be done without using Musical Instruments. So they tried and it worked well for them. All the people belong to the same locality. They had around 4 people initially but now they are 7. Few of them have a background in music while few didn’t even have any relation to it. This group was formed in 2005. All the members treat each other like family. They play cricket and football together in their free time. Most of the members sing in Church as a part of a choir group. They have come in local channel. They have launched 2 music albums locally in 2010. Their performance in IGT will be their 1st time on a national channel. IGT will be a step ahead. They want to reach out to masses through IGT.
