Aman Trikha
He has studied engineering, but his heart lies in music. This 26 year old considers music and his parents to be the single most important thing in his life, and has a soft corner for world music. Beneath his rugged exterior is a superstitious guy and an earthy voice which is sure to impress the judges. He is almost as passionate about cricket and gadgets as he is about music.
Budhaditya Mukherjee
Son of a classical singer, Budhaditya has been learning music since childhood. He is torn between classical and rock music but prefers classical because his father doesn't approve of rock music. How cute! The 22 year old is also a pro at mimicking and acting. Now that's what we call an all round performer! He is kicked about cricket and therefore wants to take on Pakistan on the music pitch.
Diljaan
He is the Punjab da Puttar with an endearing name. Diljaan hails from Jalandhar in Punjab and is 23 years old. His forte is singing Punjabi songs of Sufiyana style, but we're sure that his ability to sing all genres will be tested in Sur Kshetra.
Indrani Bhattacharjee
The only girl in the Indian contingent, Indrani Bhattacharjee has proven her mettle in India. A student of classical music since childhood, she has won 'Successful Tappa Singer Award' from the Kolkata State Academy of Music and Dance. This versatile girl can play the violin, guitar, and more. With such a list of accomplishments, Indrani is definitely a threat to all the other singers in Sur Kshetra.
Shahzad Ali
Originally from Bikaner in Rajasthan, he moved to Mumbai with his family to pursue his dream of becoming a singer. He was sure about becoming a singer so he quit school when he was in the 7th standard. Looks like this decision worked out for him as he got a chance to represent India in Sur Kshetra. He likes singing Mohammed Rafi's and Rajasthani songs and can play the harmonium well.
Yashraaj Kapill
If we call this Mumbai boy a prodigy, it won't be an overstatement. Yashraaj is originally from Faridabad, currently living in Mumbai. He started learning classical music when he was just 4 years old. What's more, he can play the keyboard and guitar inspite of never learning either of them. Yashraaj, with his chocolate boy looks, wants to be an all round performer and is working towards it. With such natural talent, he is the one to watch out for.
