Jayashree describes herself as a South Indian, raised in Delhi. Actually, she was born in Mumbai on 21st May (we'll keep the year a secret) but her family left for Delhi soon after, and she considers herself a true Delhiite.

Being from a South Indian family, her parents emphasized on education and that lead to Jayashree pursuing Political Science (Honours) from Delhi University.

Jayashree was bitten by the acting bug at a young age itself. She was an active participant in all her school plays and stage acts. Looks like she's living her childhood dream!

Her father wanted her to become an IAS officer but she knew that acting was her calling, so she came to Mumbai 4 years ago. She says that for the first few days, she couldn't handle the Maximum city, but has slowly grown to like Mumbai.

Her first assignment after coming to Mumbai was an ad film. And after that, she has constantly been working in TV shows, and several ad films for top brands.

Apart from acting, she loves to dance, too. She's been a student of Shiamak Davar's dance academy for 2 years and has also learned jazz for a year.

In her free time, she likes watching movies and sleeping. By her own admission, she can sleep for 18 hours straight! But when she's awake, she's pretty restless and finds it impossible to sit in one place.

Jayashree's love for arts doesn't end at acting and dancing. She is also learning to play the violin, and plans on learning to play the piano next. That's what we call a Jill of all trades!

Her favourite movie star is, take a guess...Abhay Deol! She admits that she's crazy about the dimpled actor and finds him to be the most intelligent and good-looking actor on the block.

And now for some bad news-the pretty Jayashree is not single and definitely not ready to mingle. She is dating someone from the industry, but the identity of the special someone is under wraps. All we can tell you is that he's not an actor...
