Widow remarriage, one of the oldest taboos still prevalent in many parts of India is for the first time being explored in such depth on television on the show Ishq Ka Rang Safed. The story which is set in the city of Benaras is about a young spoilt brat Viplav (played by Mishal Singh) and a young widow Dhani (essayed by Eisha Singh), and the many problems that they face because of the societal indifferences.
Mishal Singh who plays the lead in Ishq Ka Rang Safed hopes that the show will help bring about a change in society, and the restrictions that are imposed on widows are done away with completely. He also goes onto add that if someone is happy after remarrying then we are nobody to stop it from happening.
Mishal who in the past has been been part of such women-centric roles, feels fortunate to be a part of the Ishq Ka Rang Safed. Shows such as this which give out a social message as well as provide drama and entertainment are what he believes in.
Don’t forget to catch Ishq Ka Rang Safed, Mon-Fri, 6:30 PM
