They’ve got the world at their feet but have they got the nerves of steel to slug it out for dance? The battle ground is set; competition starts from Day One…12 celebrities take up the biggest dance challenge of the season with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Colors!

As they prepare to shed blood, sweat, tears and prove their prowess to the Trinity of Jhalak –Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Karan Johar and Remo D’souza, be prepared to witness an explosive season of the dance and victory unfold. This season is for leaders not followers; it is for fighters, not defenders! Get ready to dust off your dancing shoes and be inspired – It’s dancing re-defined on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa starting June 1’2013, every Saturday and Sunday at 9.00 pm, only on Colors.

From the dance studio to the dance floor, follow the moves of the twelve celebrities as they will be seen surpassing all limitations and defining new frontiers of dance with some never-seen-before acts. Viewers will see dance spilling outside the studio walls as the contestants will be challenged to portray their true talent in some unusual outdoor locations as well. As the mercury rises, contestants will leave no chance to outdo each other with the use of unconventional props, graphics and animation added with internationally acclaimed video mapping technology etc. The season also introduces innovative concepts from Relay dance to performing with Live DJ Music to shaking a leg with an extra partner in ‘Teen Ka Tadka’. 

Commenting about the launch of the new season, Raj Nayak, CEO – Colors, said, “We are constantly looking at content that ignites the interest of our viewers with our non-fiction offerings. Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has been one of our most successful shows and after the grand success of the previous season, we are confident that its return will break all barriers in entertainment”. 

Hosting this season are the comic duo – the very quirky and charming, Manish Paul returning for his second innings along with the King of Comedy, Kapil Sharma taking the viewers on a high dose of laughter and entertainment. 

Throwing challenges in their path are the Trinity of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa – the epitome of grace, beauty and dance, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, the king of entertainment, Karan Johar and Bollywood’s most popular choreographer cum director, Remo D’Souza. 

Speaking about their expectations from the new season, the returning judge, the dancing diva, Madhuri Dixit-Nene said, “My criteria to judge each performance will be simple – did I feel for the performance, did I live it? Anyone can dance with their feet, I am looking out for someone who puts their heart and soul into it.” Adding to this Karan Johar said, “All these contestants have been masters in their own fields but this season we will expect them not only to rise up but shift the bar to a new one. I will judge them basis the entertainment quotient – concept’s and the overall performance.” Remo D’Souza had this to say- “This season contestants will have to push their maximum potential as we set them up for an intensely competitive dance battle. There will only be one way to survive as a winner and that is through hard-work and perseverance.”

Kick starting the launch episode will be dancing queen Madhuri who will team up with Bollywood sensation Ranbir Kapoor for a stunning performance on their new item number. Next to enthrall viewers will be an entertaining performance by Sushant Singh Rajput and actress Jacqueline Fernandez who will be introducing the 12 celebrity contestants. Dance maestro Remo will also take over the stage for a power packed performance with his troupe and something not to missed will be director Karan Johar’s entertaining act. The launch episode week will also see the three Deols – Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra shake a leg with the Jhalak contestants adding on to the commencement of the power packed journey of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
