Christmas is a festival where merriment and happiness lasts for the entire holiday season. However, inside the Bigg Boss house, the joy does not survive more than a day!  The end of the week also brings Sonali’s captaincy to a close and the housemates begin to review her stint as a leader. The housemates are of the opinion that Sonali is, in fact, by far the worst captain of the season because she has broken the Bigg Boss house rules herself! 

To replace the old with the new, Bigg Boss announces that the first contestant to enter the confession room will become a contender for the next captaincy task. Being closest to the confession room when the announcement was made, Ali rushes inside and the door locks behind him. As the first one to enter the room, Ali receives a special advantage wherein he is given the opportunity to choose the housemate against whom he will compete during the captaincy task. Believing that Sonali is his weakest competition inside the house, without sparing a moment for a second thought, Ali selects Sonali as his competitor. 

The road to captaincy is never easy and as Bigg Boss announces the task at hand to the housemates, it becomes evident that this week is no different. To win the captaincy, Ali and Sonali will have to stand on a pedestal and hold the captaincy flag above their heads with just one hand. Bigg Boss further announces that the contender who holds the flag for the longest duration while standing on the pedestal will be declared as the new captain of the house. While it initially seems that the result is obvious, all the housemates are taken by surprise when Sonali relentlessly continues to give Ali a tough fight.

Even as the new captain of the house takes over, Bigg Boss announces the Luxury Budget Task to reward the housemates for their hard work. But all was not hunky-dory as Bigg Boss beseeches former captain Sonali to choose 3 housemates whom she would like to exclude from the luxury task as well as elude them from enjoying the privilege of the luxury items. Will the abstinence from the luxury items cause further discontent?
