When you are caged in between four walls of a temple and forced to believe that you are a ‘Devi’ and have supernatural powers, you might just end up behaving like one. This is exactly what is happening with innocent Bhagya who is being forced to believe that she is a ‘Devi’. Chakor has decided to end this fake belief and prove to everyone that Bhagya is not a ‘Devi’ but just a normal girl.

Most of us are aware about the strong existence of superstitions and the strong influence it has on humans. But, still most of us probably don’t even know why we give a little shudder to these superstitions which do not have any explanation on rational basis. Out of many, below are five superstitions we must get rid of.

1.) Friday The 13th:

Many of us can't help but get Goosebumps when we realize that a ‘Friday the 13th’ is lurking within the current month. A fear of the number 13 is one of the most common superstitions around, and is so widespread that many apartments and hotels omit the 13th floor and some airlines fly without a 13th row. Put it all together, and you have one unlucky day of the year.

2.) “Aaachooo(sneeze), God Bless You” :

sneeze

This is one of the most common superstition to a very natural human behavior. When anyone sneezes it is followed by a “God Bless You”. You may think it is etiquette, pure and simple, but blessing someone after he or she sneezes is actually a common superstition.

3.) Itchy Palms:

There seems to be a lot of variations on this superstition, but the idea of having an itchy palm generally refers to desire for money. Some believe that if the right palm itches, you will meet someone new, while an itchy left palm means that money is coming. Others say that an itchy right palm means money coming in and a left-handed itch foretells money going out. Is your palm itchy right now?

4.) Twitching Of Your Eyes:

It is again an old belief that if your right eye twitches, you are likely to hear good news or gain some money or enjoy certain success. On the other hand, if your left eye twitches it is considered inauspicious. And if this wasn’t enough the superstition is gender biased as well. The left eye twitching is considered good for women whereas it might be a bad sign for men.  Is your eye twitching right now?

5.) Black Cat Crossing Your Way:

black cat

This is a tough one for cat lovers to swallow, but in the middle-age it was thought that witches kept black cats as companions.  How many times a black cat has crossed your path and you have stopped moving further and just stood there waiting for someone else to move further? The poor cat gets blamed.

So these are the five superstitions we must get rid of.  What are the other superstitions you think we should get rid of? Tell us in the comments below
