2014 was a year of achievement for our country, while at the same time there were incidents that left our heads hanging in shame. 2014 was also the year when Colors decided to do its bit to bring about some change in the society.  And what better than doing it for them who represent the future of our country.

In 2014, Colors supported and led quite a number of initiatives, especially for underprivileged children of the country. Colors provided financial help to people in need  through Mission Sapney, where Colors collaborated with the celebrated stars of India and collecting a substantial sum of money for them. Apart from entertaining the audience through the best of reality shows, in 2014 Colors went a notch above by introducing shows like Hauslon ki Udann. The show that started on Colors this year focuses on the life of kids who become a victim of bonded labour and see their dreams trampled in front of them. Not only this, but this year Balika Vadhu also stepped ahead of the domain of Child Marriage and went onto also highlight on the issues that concern the safety and well being of Children. Later in 2014, through Hauslon ki Udann, Colors also reached out to many kids through a drawing contest that urged to safeguard child rights.

In fact, Colors also gave a platform to the underprivileged kids and shared happiness in Bigg Boss, where the contestants played hard to win a smile for kids of an NGO. Through Jhalak, kids struggling with Cancer shared stage with Madhuri and even through Bigg Boss, where Salman Khan grooved with Dharavi Kids who created music in their own little way.

What began in 2014 as an initiative will be taken forward as a mission in 2015 and Colors will live up to its name by spreading even more smiles in the years to come. Let’s all pledge to make the world colourful and a better place for humanity.
