Zindagi mein kuch bada karna hai to apne dil ki suno… This holds true for actor Anirudh Singh who currently portrays the character of Dr Anurag Arora in the show Sasural Simar Ka. Not many people know that Anirudh is a hotel management graduate and he was posted to work in Switzerland for a year. He had many opportunities to work in the UK but his passion to be an actor brought him to Mumbai.
“One day I quit my job and decide to go back. I had no idea what will I do and how will I find my ways but just one thing that I wanted to be an actor,” Anirudh tells you. He came back but his parents were apprehensive of his dreams… a well-educated, well-settled son suddenly wanted to struggle to become an actor. Anirudh convinced his parents by promising them to study further and do MBA from Mumbai. “I had made up my mind but my parents were little apprehensive of me taking chance. So I had made an excuse that I’m going to Mumbai to pursue MBA,” he laughs.
It’s been five years that Anirudh shifted to Mumbai, he managed to do 4-5 daily soaps but MBA didn’t happen. “I never wanted to do MBA; it was just an excuse to escape to Mumbai. Today, I am doing good work and my parents are happy. My mother still teases me… ho gaya tumhara MBA and we just laugh,” Anirudh concludes.
